The basic issue is that the vernier scan fit doesn't seem to agree with the rough calculation that comes from using the rates from the trigger details page.

Impact of the BSMD DB bug on the pi0 cross section in p+p 2005 data
1. To estimate the effect of the recently discovered bug in the status code on the pi0 cross section in 2005 p+p data, I propose the following case study.
z-dependence in vernier scan calculations
In trying to account for the discrepancy between the quick method and the vernier scan method of producing the BHT3 cross section, I've written out some of the z-dependence in the equations.
