Candidate Pairs from Single Gammas vs Phi

Figure 7 of my Dec. 12, 2011 blog Azimuthal Angle Studies has been updated to additionally include the results from the ANLS algorithm.  The strange spikes that occured once near each sector boundary are seen to be algorithm dependent.

Comparison of EEMC Cluster Finding Methods: IU vs. ANLS

A comparison of the IU vs. ANLS cluster finding methods for inclusive photons and neutral pions being reconstructed with the EEMC.  For the ANLS cluster finding method, all other reconstruction steps used the IU methods.

The ANLS EEMC Cluster Finding Algorithm

The following is a description of the ANLS cluster finding method for the EEMC.  The general class of the method is similar to that of the IU cluster finding method, in that looks for seeds strips, and forms clusters around certain seeds.

Azimuthal Angle Studies

When using the simple ("Mickey Mouse") MC generator and y2006h geometry to produce single photons in a very small pT, eta and phi domain, a strange pattern was observed in the number of pairs meeting neutral pion cuts.  The following are some plots to the related study.  This was a combined effort of myself and Hal Spinka.

Run11 centroid with Asymmetry fix

This is the same centroid comparison as the previous blog post except the asymmetry parameter (p6) is fixed at Weihong's old value (for run 6) of 6.11.

Effects of different phototube cookie ideas

I have implemented a couple different ideas for phototube cookies to be inserted between the Pg-glass cell and phototube.

FGT008,018,007 pedestal run vs. cosmic data

Here is an update on the cosmic teststand runs comparing pedestal runs vs. actual cosmic hits.  Explanations of slides are given in the pdf.

Hadronic vs EM Response FPD/FMS Small Cells

I have added a hadronic list to Geant4 to compare pi+ and pi0 response of the FPD/FMS.

I am using a photo-cathode that is embeded at the end of the Pb. Glass cell (no gap).
