STAR Analysis Meeting in Davis
Distortion maps for TPC GG Voltage Error
These maps show the distortions in r-phi and r for TPC hits due to a 1 mm shift in the west TPC Gated Grid position, corresponding to a 13.5V error (the main E field is 135 V/cm).
Consistency Check of New EEMC Software
The new software implementation described in this previous post has been compared with the code in the CVS repository, i.e.
$CVSROOT/StRoot/StEEmcPool/StEEmcIUPi0/
After the bug fix described in this post was implemented in the CVS version (and a number of bugs in the new software implmentation were fixed), the new software is found to have identical results as the old software when running on the (run 6) file
/star/institutions/anl/sgliske/data/Star/2006/st_physics_7136033_raw_1020001.MuDst.root
Bug found in StEEmcIUClusterMaker.cxx
In the process of validating my new software structure for EEMC analysis, I came accross the following "feature" in the CVS implementation. The problem is in file
$CVSROOT/StRoot/StEEmcPool/StEEmcIUPi0/StEEmcIUClusterMaker.cxx
CVS version 1.1, starting line 711, and deals with the energy sharing of strips which are in more than one SMD cluster.
Run10 PID extrapolate function with Patric's parametization
