  1) News - Nu: Run12:  Cool down starts January 2nd, 2012. Normal CR condition allows a 22-week run. Trigger Board will start work

      around late October 2011.

  2) Run11 data processing - Gene: 19.6 GeV AuAu data done. 27 GeV AuAu will starts next week, and will last for about two weeks. This

      will be followed by the 500 GeV pp data. // Slow control problem. Data corruption issues.

 3) No message about the splitting responsibilities. Will revisit the issue around mid-November.

 4) Software review: Will send in suggestions and comments by next Monday, Sept. 12th.

 5) Website update -Jamie: HF - Gang // Spin - Renee // BulkCorr - Shusu // JetCorr - Saskia // LFS - Frank // Web Master: H.W. Ke. The activities will start immediately.

    Meeting on Tuesday: Gary, Nu, Jamie, Bedanga, Jerome, Flemming Gene   

                        -       Gary will send initial message to the institute council Rep. and requests to remove n names from the institute. The number n is defined by the Jerome-algorithm.

                        -        If nothing no response from the Council rep after m weeks, (m is defined in Gary’s first message), we will remove the n names from the institute authorship list in a ‘random’ manner.

                        -       Gary will forward his message to Nu

                        -       Gary will seek the Council vote on the motion.

 1) RHIC Cool down will be postponed till January 17, 2012.

 2) Data propossing: 500 GeV pp in good progress. // 200 GeV AuAu FRF Cali in progress, will be followed by the FF Calib.

     Experiencing differene in dE/dx, more studying /discussions on going.

     Shift sign-up for Run12: Nu call Gary. Jerome side is ready.

     Period Coordinators for Run12: Nu and Renee

 3) Future Meetings:  Analysis meeting will be at BNL in mid-April // Collaboration meeting will be in BNL, in the week of Aug. 5th.

 4) Fix-target AuAu collisions at RHIC: Priority is given on current BES results and perhaps a new 15 GeV AuAu collisions. If only needs

     a short time and beams are available, may have a test on 5 GeV collider mode collisions. Bedanga prepares a message.

 5) Authorship: opt-out one-by-pne is prefered. Opt-in required approval by the management, not encouraged. Jerome prepares

    a summary.

  1) News:  a) HFT - Flemming: ESSAC Sept.22, 2011. DOE NP, BNL and Flemming (HFT team) are working on the final documents;

                 b) ALICE new policy on its membership and its implicaitons to STAR collaboration. More discussions later.

  2) Run11 data: a) TOF QA, 19.6GeV is ready for production (today), will be followed by 27 GeV AuAu data, within 4 weeks; b) pp 500 GeV for TOF 

      calibration;  c) few months away for 200 GeV AuAu data.
