Maximum Rate for pp500 GeV Run 12

The size of the TPC events rises with luminosity in pp500, due to pileup.  Below is one measure, using the JP2 events, which do not have FGT readout.

Using a request of ~4mil events(1.5M vpdb) and macros provided by Xin Dong+Patrick Huck, I produced ntuples using a doMuDstEvents.C (attached) and StRoot/StTofPoll/StBTofNtupleMaker under SL12a.

Simple pi0 Mass Bkg Study, Part 2

A continuation of "Simple pi0 Mass Bkg Study".  Specifically, the method and cuts were adjusted so the opening angle, Z_gg and energy spectrum of individual photons is more similar between the candidate pi0s and the decorrelated pairs.  However, the decorrelated pairs still overestimate the background at low invarient mass background compared to high invarient mass.
