              2) Prepare for a 22 cryo-week run, 21 weeks shifts. The shift will start on January 24, 2012 (two person shift), starting

                  on January 31st, full shift crew.  Shift will be ended on June 19th.  Shift sign-up on Dec. 20th, 2011. Renee will send

                  a message to the Council double checking the list of colleagues in each group.

              3) Bill: Activities at the WAH are all on schedule. Bake-out will last till this weekend. 

              4) Flemming: "FGT issue" Needs more funds to complete the project.

             II. Brief Summary and action Items:

              1) Participants: Bedanga, Xin, Scott, Nu, Jamie, Jerome, Flemming, Gene

              2) Run12 priorities: new info (a) PHENIX requested a month delay of the start. STAR does not need the delay. 

                  (b) C-AD prefers 500GeV pp. In addition, they wants to have the pp run first, followed by the UU collisions, may be 1-2

                  weeks longer.

              3) Run11 QA: Xin, we have a small group people on the QA. Results should be in soon.

              4) pp2pp upgrade: Nu: (a) not enough manpower from the group to start the new project; (b) STAR currently does not have the R&D funds

                   to support the project. Message to Wlodek: (a) physics results from 2009 run; (b) In STAR, we cannot start the project before 2014;

                   (c) the group should provide a clear physics program including the resource information.

              5) No management meeting next week. The next meeting will be on Dec. 22nd.

               2) STAR's Plan for Run 12: 4:4:7 (weeks) for 200GeV (pp):193 GeV (UU):500GeV (pp) for the 21-cryo-week run

                  (0) FGT commissioning is progressing well, ready for in beam test

                   (i) 200GeV pp: transverse spin measurements including mid-y pion Collins; forward phonton A_N; HI reference

                  (ii) 193GeV UU: determining collision geometry, higher density, for QM12

                  (iii) 500GeV pp: mid-y W measurements

               3) For next Tuesday STAR's presentation, Carl will collect some plots from spin side, Nu will collect plots for

                   UU collisions for Bill and Jamie.
