PWGC Meeting

2014-11-18 11:00
2014-11-18 12:30
America/New York
Tuesday, 18 November 2014
, at 16:00 (GMT), duration : 01:30
  --- Agenda ---

1) 14.5GeV production plans: feedback from PWGs
 see e.g.  pwgc-management-meeting_20141105.pdf
and
 http://www.star.bnl.gov/HyperNews-star/protected/get/lfspectra/2418.html

and comment, below.

2)
PWGC Disk Space
available PWG quota: 50TB
proposed procedure:
 - request to PAC from PWG conveners
 - request should be directly related to physics analyses that point to physics papers. The conveners, if possible in close collaboration with the PAs, should prepare a single-page document in which they document the planned paper, the PAs involved, the analyses strategy, amd the (disk) resources that are needed. These documents will be kept on a drupal page
 - the initial life time of the request is 200 days

3) Reminder of deadlines meetings.
Please identify early some of the potential delays and try to work with PAs early on in order to allow the collaboration review to take its proper course.

4) PWGC Preview: Kaon v1 paper
Title: Beam Energy Dependence of Charged Kaon Directed Flow in Au+Au Collisions
 Target Journal: PRL
 PWG: BulkCorr
PAs:Yadav Pandit, Gang Wang, Olga Evdokimov, Declan Keane, Nu Xu
 Paper proposal web site:
http://www.star.bnl.gov/protected/bulkcorr/ypandit/KaonPaper/

- Brief introduction from BulkCorr PWG conveners (5') - Nu Xu

- Paper proposal (15') -  Yadav Pandit
