1) Paper preview
Tittle: Elliptic flow of heavy flavor electrons in 27 and 54.4 GeV Au+Au collisions with STAR
PWG: HF
PAs: Xin Dong, Xiujun LI, Yuanjing Ji, Zebo Tang, Yifei Zhang
- Brief introduction from the PWG conveners (5’) [Sooraj]
- Paper proposal (15') [presentation]
- Open discussions (35')
- Summary from the conveners' panel (5’)
Notes
2) Isobar production status
- An issue of missing nBTOFMatched information, caused by incorrect TOF status table, was found, affecting all the data produced until 05/18/2020, which constitutes about 18% of full phase-2 data.
- This issue has been fixed, and the plan is to go ahead with the rest of the data production, and reproduce the affected data after completion
- A list of affected files can be found here: ~genevb/public/badTofStatus.20200519
Conclusions: while the Isobar phase-2 production is ongoing, the SPIN PWG will identify a minimal set of runs/fills from Run17 pp 510 GeV data to be produced with corrected chain option and improved TPC alignment. Such a test production will be used to check everything is in order and as expected. Once confirmed, switching between Isobar phase-2 and Run17 pp 510 GeV data can be made smoothly. For Run17 pp 510 GeV data, st_W stream will be produced before st_physics.
3) Notification of data removal on RCF
- Data on RCF are removed regularly to make room for new production. Announcements are sent to (starprod-l@lists.bnl.gov). Please encourage your PWG members to subscribe to the mailing list (https://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/starprod-l) if they want to follow the announcement.
- In addition, please forward such announcements to your PWG if a relevant dataset is removed

Reminder:
- LFSUPC/BulkCorr: send inputs for "Soft Probes in Heavy Ions"
- Send me list of analyses in paper process that are using MuDst files. Received 2 so far from JetCorr.
Conclusions: besides the data sets used by the SPIN group, MuDst files for st_upc data will also need to be maintained since UPC analyses cannot be switched to PicoDst. However, st_upc data sets are usually quite small. We will discuss strategies related to these data sets when needed in the future.

- Brief introduction from the PWG conveners (5’) [ShinIchi]
- Paper proposal (15') [presentation]
- Open discussions (35')
(2) Embedding priority discussion Priority list
- See recent updates from Xianglei: slides
- Items on current priority are done.
Conclusions:
- 20201901-04, J/psi and Psi2S (Pythia8) in Run17 pp510 zerobias: this should be put on hold until the data set is reproduced
- 20201503, pi/K/p in Run18 200 GeV Isobar: LFSUPC conveners will check the request details and suggest modifications, if necessary, such that this sample can also be used by their PWG. In any case, this embedding will only happen after final Isobar production.
- 20201601 (SPIN: Run13 pp 510 GeV period 1) should go ahead of 20201501 (SPIN: Run12 pp 510 GeV)
- The new priority list, separately for large and small datasets, can be found on Priority list.

- The new priority list, separately for large and small datasets, can be found on Priority list.
(3) MuDst files of heavy-ion data sets on distribution disk (the data sets in bold take the most disk space) - will need to produce picoDst and delete them
- 2016 d+Au 200 GeV (P17ib)
- 2014 Au+Au 200 GeV (P16id)
- 2014 Au+Au 200 GeV prod_high (P17id, P15ic)
- 2014 He3+Au 200 GeV (P15ib)
- 2012 U+U 193 GeV (P12id)
- 2012 Cu+Au 200 GeV (P15ie)
- 2011 Au+Au 27, 19 GeV (P11id)
- 2011 Au+Au 200 GeV (P11id)
- 2010 Au+Au 200 GeV (P10ik)
- 2010 Au+Au 62, 39 GeV (P10ik)
- 2010 Au+Au 11.5, 7.7 GeV (P10ih)
- 2005 Cu+Cu 200, 62 GeV (P17ii)
Proposed strategy: produce a list of analyses using MuDst that have started the paper process as of 05/18/2020, i.e. made a paper proposal to the PWG. For these analyses, we will try to keep the MuDst files until the paper is published. Any other analyses should switch to picoDst files as soon as possible.
Conclusions:
- The proposed strategy is agreed among conveners. The next step is to collect the list.
(4) Centrality definition in Isobar data (who is in charge?)
Conclusions:
- BulkCorr conveners will follow up on this. The centrality definition will need to be approved by centrality coordinator, and made official to be used by the whole collaboration.
AOB:
- Please collect preliminary plots and added them to the webpage
- LFSUPC/BulkCorr: send inputs for "Soft Probes in Heavy Ions"
- It was brought up by Xiaofeng to switch from Bluejeans to Zoom for PWGC meeting since people in China have smoother connection with Zoom especially when people are sharing screens. There is no objection from the panel, and we will probably try this out in the next week or two.

2) Update of production and calibration status from Gene: slides, Weekly update
NOTES: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/event/2020/05/08/star-pwgc-meeting#comment-1819
2) Update of production and calibration status from Gene: slides, Weekly update
- Production:
-- Isobar phase-2: just started, ~ 1 month to finish
-- Run17 pp 510 GeV st_physics: 40% done, will be scaled down as Isobar ramps up.
== Gene: an incorrect chain option for correcting the TPC GridLeak distortion was inadvertently used.
== Is the current production good enough for publication?
Decision: we will stop the Run17 production entirely, and reproduce st_W and st_physics streams with improved TPC alignment and correct chain option after Isobar production.

Decision: we will stop the Run17 production entirely, and reproduce st_W and st_physics streams with improved TPC alignment and correct chain option after Isobar production.
-- Run19 19.6 GeV and FXT: TPC alignment and T0 done; calibration production early next week for cross checks (analyzers can probably also look ); ~ 2 weeks before production
-- Run20: TPC alignment and T0 done; at least 3-4 weeks to be ready for production
3) Discussion of priority for data restoration (priority list)
Decision: restoration of missing MuDst for 2012 and 2013 pp 500 GeV runs will happen after Run14 st_WB P16ig.Sl19a picoDst files are restored.
4) QA board: expand QA effort to offline production
- 1 ~ 2 delegates from each PWG to look at data QA
5) Centrality approval procedure
- Present to the relevant PWG and get approval
- Present at the centrality meeting, and get approved by the centrality coordinator
- Inform the convener list (1 week for comments)
- Commit parameters to STAR library
- Make announcement to the whole collaboration
Decision: the PWGC panel agrees to follow this procedure from now on. Centrality definition for small systems also fall into this category. Special analyses requiring special centrality definition will be treated separately.
6) Send information to a wider audience
- Send PWGC preview notes to starpaper-l list in addition to pwgc and pwg lists
- Send weekly PWGC meeting agenda to star-phys-l list since people who are not subscribed to the PWGC list could not follow discussions
Decision: the PWGC panel agrees to these changes.
7) Reminder
- Send input to talk "Soft probes in Heavy Ions" at the LHCP conference
- 62.4 GeV strangeness paper - data inconsistent
