This page is meant to organize information about the calibration preparations and steps required for each subdetector for upcoming runs.

a) Forward region GEM-based tracking detectors were previously studied in MOnte Carlo in two configurations

• a large GEM disk covering the acceptance of the endcap Calorimeter
• smaller set of disk-shaped detectors complimenting the central tracker (TUP)

The naming convention used was "FGT" (Forward GEM Tracker) for the larger detector and the "IGT" (Inner GEM Tracker) for the smaller one. Since the former is no longer considered and not included in any of the geometry production tags, it makes sense to retire it from the code base and make the naming schememore self-explanatory.
