I. Agenda:

             0) News Items: MTD review, meeting dates, ... - All

             1) Run 10 production status -  Gene/Jerome/Bedanga

             2) Run11 preparation: Trigger board membership, Run plan, Shift Board - Nu

                 - On Trigger board:   J. Balewski*, M. Calderon de la Barca Sanchez, H. Crawford*, B. Christie*, X. Dong*, J. Dunlop* (ex-officio), C. Gagliardi*

                                                 Y. Gorbunov, W. Jacobs*, J. Landgraf*, A. Ogawa*, J. Seele*, E. Sichtermann*, A. Tang*, A. Timmins*, Z.B. Xu* (chair)

                   - On Run plan: PAC suggestions: 30 weeks run. (1) 500 GeV p+p, 10 weeks; (2) 200 GeV Au+Au, 8 weeks; (3) BES + U+U

                - On Shift board: need new chair for the shift board.

             3) Collaboration meeting in Nov. 12-17 - Jamie

             4) STAR Run4 NPE paper issue - Nu

*--===================================================================--*

II. Brief Summary and/or Action Items:

            1) Attendency: Jerome, Bill, Helen, Olga, Gene, Jamie, Flemming, Nu

            2) MTD: Review last Friday went well. Two important reco. from the panel: (i) Need more realistic contingency; (ii) Discuss with participating universities and DOE program manager.

            3) Meeting dates:

            4) Run10 production: redo 39 GeV // 200 GeV start in two weeks, Calib is progress fine. Four months for production. Question on production of HT data, an additional month.

               Jerome is working on speed up the code.

            5) WAH: FTPC prparation is moving well. Most important is for 18, 27 and possibly 6.1 GeV AuAu collisions. May be long range (in eta) 'jet' correlations. Most detectors are ready to start.

                // Trigger board: // Shift board chair: Renee(?), Chuck (??), Frank (??).

            6) Next collaboration meeting: Nov. 12-17. Theory: Science Case for EIC: Jainwei Qui. Jamie works rooms.

            7) NPE data from Run4: no possble to get to the bottom of the Run4 problem.   Ask Alex if he wants to redo the embedding for Run4 (Nu will start the discussion).

               Jerome thinks it could be done if someone spend enough efforts. Jamie will ask PRL editor about the method withdrawing a published paper.

            1) Attendency:Bill, Flemming, Olga, Jamie, Nu

            2) Run10 production: 7.7 and 11.5 are done. In progress with the reproduction of 39 GeV data, 40M events. 200 GeV production will start in 2-4 weeks depends on the

                status of calibration.

            3) Decadal Plan Status: (i) some worry about the lateness of the plan; (ii) new capabilities for electron ID;

II. Brief Summary and/or Action Items:

            1) Attendency: Flemming, Gene, Jamie, Nu, Ernst, Olga

            2) Gene: 7.7 and 11.5 GeV data will be finished next week. 39 GeV reprocessing with new TPC and TOF calib. in two weeks. 30M events.

                          200 GeV calib. is progressing fine. Need more info regarding full data set of 39 GeV.

            3) W-paper: Ernst: spin PWG prefers submitting the paper earlier. At the moment, no consens about how to proceed. Ernst personally prefers to submit the paper

                back-to-back. Jamie agrees. Gene agrees, no significant difference any more.  Nu will contact Bernd and Barbara and preppare the headletter to the editor of PRL.
