run-6 photon-jet simulation request for spin physics

Description

Photon-jet simulation request for spin physics.  This requests includes multiple pT ranges, samples (photon signal, QCD background), and originally also years (run-6, run-9) as detailed at:

[node:18636 Revised].

We'll focus here on the run-6 request, and will submit run-9 separately.

 

Requested event yields clarified 08/19/2010.  Job request should be run using the events tabulated in the "PYTHIA" column below.

Total resources estimate for QCD with 1/pb and prompt-photon with 10/pb suimulations:

  • CPU: 4.2 CPU years (2.2 weeks of running on a 100 CPUs)
