- Fields problem reports and fixes or forwards to appropriate person
Form-based problem submission
- Based on GNATS, but no bug tracking; archived email to experts list only. No categories.
- Recognized need to go to tracked, categorized bug reports
- Past GNATS limitation: poor web interface. No longer there (CERN, SLAC improvements)
- Will probably make the migration in conjunction with establishing RHIC-wide common software bug reporting
- CTS an in-house BNL alternative; GNATS preferred
